Ingredients

  • 2 hibiscus tea bags
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 4 strawberries Fresh or frozen. If frozen, allow to thaw first!
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 sprigs fresh thyme plus 1 extra for garnish
  • 1 Teaspoon apple cider vinegar optional, but recommend for depth of flavor and health benefits!

Instructions

  • First, steep your tea bags in 2 cups for water for 5 minutes. Remove the tea bags when it's done steeping and allow to cool.
  • Make a honey simple syrup by combining 2 tablespoons of honey with 2 tablespoons hot water and mixing until well combined. Add two sprigs of thyme to the honey simple syrup and allow to sit for a few minutes while you wait for the tea to cool and to allow the thyme flavor to be incoorpated into the syrup. Discard the thyme sprigs before using.
  • Muddle the strawberries in the bottom of a cocktail shaker along with the honey thyme simple syrup. Add lemon juice, apple cider vinegar (optional), and cooled hibiscus tea to the cocktail shaker. Add ice and shake until the shaker is frosty! (A good 30 seconds at least.)
  • Pour the contents along with the ice into a cocktail class. Garnish with a sprig of thyme and enjoy!! (Hopefully outside on a sunny day.)

Notes

*If you don't drink all of this in one day, you can put it into a mason jar or container with a lid in the fridge for up to 5 days.
